We are seeking highly motivated individuals to join our team in this highly demanding and challenging position. The Administration Officer has the opportunity to develop a rewarding career in the mental health field to ensure best client care. The position will be located within or across PsychMed’s South Australian offices, and will directly report to the General and Location Manager(s).

Essential criteria for the role include:

  • Eligibility to work in Australia
  • SACE year 12 or equivalent
  • Current drivers license
  • DCSI Working with Children or equivalent
  • Sound computer skills

Duties:

  • General Front Desk Administration/Reception Duties.
  • Assisting management and clinicians on a daily basis to fulfil organisational goals.
  • Answering phones, handling enquiries.
  • Provide information to consumers and families contacting PsychMed.
  • Ensuring that all enquiries are dealt with in a confidential and sensitive manner.
  • Assist in the opening and closing of the clinic each day.
  • Processing and liaising with Medicare.
  • Invoicing using Xero accounting software, filing, preparing letters, faxing, copying, email, computer work (Excel, Word, Gmail).
  • Handling Mental Health Care Plans and other referrals (NDIS, WorkCover, DVA, MVA)
  • Working with HICAPS, Computer booking system (Health Kit and MasterCare).
  • Liaising with clients from a variety of backgrounds and social circumstances.
